About Rylie

Welcome, I'm Rylie Horne, a creative spirit in my 30s with a diverse background shaped by my journey through the worlds of Visual Communications, culinary arts, and design. I proudly graduated from the Manchester School of Art with a degree that laid the foundation for my artistic pursuits.

My path has been unique, marked by my experiences as a trans woman navigating the complexities of life. Fueled by the determination to fund my personal journey, I took on the demanding role of a head chef, rising swiftly to work with some of the best restaurants in my specialty of Neapolitan pizza and Calabrian cuisine. It was a challenging yet rewarding period where I not only honed my culinary skills but also developed resilience and leadership.

As I reached a point of personal peace and authenticity in my life, I find myself yearning to reconnect with my roots as an artist and designer. The kitchen was a stepping stone, a means to an end that allowed me to finance my transition. Now, I'm ready to pivot back to the world of creativity that has always held a special place in my heart.

My artistic endeavors span a spectrum of mediums, from traditional canvas paintings to modern digital design. Each piece I create is a testament to my journey, reflecting the resilience, beauty, and authenticity that define my identity. I am not just seeking a career change; I'm on a quest to rediscover and fully embrace the artist within.

Join me on this transformative journey, where every stroke of the brush and every thoughtful design tells a story of self-discovery and empowerment. As I embark on this new chapter, I am eager to explore opportunities that align with my artistic passion and contribute to the vibrant tapestry of the creative world.
